Pixies: Alternative Redemption

This Boston alternative-rock band first started performing in 1986, disbanded in 1993, and reunited in 2004. Although Pixies may have broken up in the midst of their success, they are still known as being a major influence on the alternative scene of the 1990s. Now back and better than ever, Pixies are touring across the United States, reminding audience members of their sheer talent and performing abilities. Pixies will play at the Convention Hall in Asbury Park on Oct.28. The show starts at 7 p.m.; ticket prices range from $37.50-43.
