The electronic music group Oval was founded in Germany in 1991. Since then, two of the band’s members have left, leaving the project solely to Markus Popp. Oval is best known for its unique ambient-techno sound and creative techniques. Popp is only playing a handful of shows this year, including one at Public Assembly in Brooklyn on Oct. 25. The concert will feature songs off of Oval’s album O, which Popp decontextualized and added beats to. Tickets are $10; doors open at 8 p.m.
