Brooklyn five-piece Hull’s The End Records debut, Sole Lord (2009), was a vicious and conceptual exploration of heavy tones and spacious sonic passages. On Columbus Day, Oct. 10, the band will be celebrating the release of their follow-up album, Beyond The Lightless Sky, which sees them refine and tighten their approach to be heavier both in sound and intellect. Hull has been one of Brooklyn’s finest home-grown acts for years now, and they take Manhattan on the 10th with the show at the Mercury Lounge on Houston. $12, 21+.
