Big name indies Trans Am are coming to Union Pool in Brooklyn Oct. 8 and 9. The trio are known as being originators of post-rock in the mid-‘90s, and has had an irrefutable influence on rock, techno and pop. They will be performing the entirety of their classic 1999 album, Futureworld, which includes landmark songs such as “Am Rhein” and “Runners Standing Still.” Trans Am promise an old school show complete with robotic melodies and psychedelic beats. Joining the group will be experimentalists The Psychic Paramount. Tickets are $15. Doors open at 9 p.m. both nights.
