Broken Social Scene: Well Armed

If you missed it, amorphous Canadian collective Broken Social Scene recently premiered a video for the song “Sweetest Kill” from last year’s Forgiveness Rock Record. Hardly living up to the “forgiveness” part of the album’s title, the clip stars a sultry Bijou Phillips mouthing the lyrics, wooing and murdering some poor schlub in a living room, hacking up the body and burying the pieces in her yard, taking the time to writhe around in the dirt, because, you know, you have to make time for these things. Fun stuff. Keep your hands to yourself when BSS hit Brooklyn’s Williamsburg Waterfront on Sept. 8 supporting TV On The Radio.
