Washington D.C.’s Darkest Hour, who has been bridging the gap between melodic death metal, punk and thrash metal since 1995, have had a busy year. After being with Victory for over a decade, the band recently signed to E1 Records and released their album, The Human Romance, earlier this year. Now Darkest Hour is tearing it up the Summer Slaughter Tour with The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel and more. The slaughter comes to New York on Aug. 11 at Irving Plaza. Door are at 2:30p.m., tickets are between $26 and $36, and the show is all ages.
