Affecting garage-type retro pop with stylish rock swagger, Nashville trio The Ettes are headed north on a tour that runs into September and includes a stop at the Escape 2 NY fest next week. If you’re not headed to that, you can catch The Ettes playing songs off their new album, Wicked Will, on Aug. 2 at Mercury Lounge (also, as it happens, the day the album is out) in Manhattan and Aug. 3 at Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. They also hit Philly at the M-Room on Aug. 6. Busy, busy. More info at theettes.com.
