Ikillya: From The Streets

From New York comes a new three-piece band called Ikillya. The band lives after their name, which means to focus on a goal and take action. These regular dudes bring together more than just a heavy metal band. In fact, their musical backgrounds are rooted in blues and jazz. Instead of creating an album with a themed story, the band has created an impressive 10-track EP, Recon, which is more of a sample platter of their work, including an intro and outro track. Ikillya will be playing many East Coast shows including The Studio at Webster Hall on July 16, Mojo Main in Newark on Aug. 6, D’Antigua on Aug. 13 in Manhattan and Trash Bar in Brooklyn on Sept. 10.
