The underground Dutch band The Ex will be playing all-ages show on Thursday, March 10, at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC. The anarchist punk band incorporates global influences into their records, as their tracks have included Hungarian and Turkish folk tunes, in addition to Ethiopian and Congo songs. In 2009, after 30 years with the group, singer and co-founder G.W. Sok announced his departure from the band. The band carried on to release Catch My Shoe earlier this year. The record featured the debut of their new lead vocalist, Arnold de Boer. Opening for The Ex is the Brooklyn black metal band Liturgy. Tickets are $15 and the show starts at 8 p.m.
