The popular rock band The Parlotones will be performing a very special concert on Tuesday, March 8 at the Mercury Lounge in NYC. Hailing from South Africa, The Parlotones have gone on to outsell Coldplay, The Killers and Oasis combined in their homeland. They have previously performed at their president’s inauguration, as well as with the Black Eyed Peas and Shakira at the 2010 FIFA World Cup kickoff ceremonies. Often regarded as the biggest rock band in South Africa, they have performed a sold-out 300-date world tour over the past 18 months, performing in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain and the United States. Doors open, for what is sure to be an epic show, at 6:30 p.m.
