We must be thankful for artists like Johnny Flynn, who keep folk music alive and fresh. Simple melodies paired with intricate percussion comprise his enjoyable sound. It’s like the guy has instrument ADD, tossing in cellos, violins, and trumpets to create an electrifying album and a sure-to-please onstage performance. To promote his second album, Been Listening, hitting shelves on Oct. 26, Flynn will be invading the US. He will play along with Everything Everything and Chapel Club at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg on Oct. 22. $15. 9 p.m.
