SongCircle, the independent music company recognized for discovering talented new artists is now accepting entries for its fifth annual songwriting contest. This year, aspiring musicians will compete for over $25,000 in hopes of winning the award for “Best Original Song.” Along with the cash and prizes, the winner will receive recording, publishing, and label services under contract with SongCircle as well as top of the line Gibson and Martin guitars, exclusive studio sessions with record producers, and much more. The song submitted will be judged on its structure, melody, lyrics, uniqueness and presentation.
In the end, 12 finalists will be left to battle it out at the City Winery in New York City on Nov. 18 and 19 in front of judges comprised of publishers, producers, media executives, recording companies and agents.
