After forming in 1988 and carving their own rather large niche in the underground electronica scene throughout the ‘90s, UK band Massive Attack have become fondly known as the daddies of the trip hop genre; a term they used to hate, but now embrace. Experimental and dancy, they even come with their own light show, though they can’t be held responsible for any hallucinogen-induced seizures. They play two shows at The Beacon Theater Oct. 21 and 22 (doors 9 p.m., tickets starting at $49.50) and in Atlantic City at The Borgata on Oct. 23, all three with Thievery Corporation (doors 7 p.m., tickets $39.50).
