A little bit country, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll and a whole lotta blues sums up the pleasantly antiquated sound of Moreland & Arbuckle, a three-piece Americana-esque band from Kansas. Not only have they found quite a bit of success with their newest album ‘Flood,’ which was released in February, but these guys have been to Iraq to play for the troops, and have toured with blues heavyweights such as Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Johnny Winter. On Sept. 12 they will be playing a Concerts In The Studio show, located in a photography studio in Freehold, NJ (more information at concertsinthestudio.com). Bring a covered dish for the potluck that will follow the performance, and maybe some sweet tea, if you’re feeling extra hospitable. $20.
