Welcome back to the world of synthesized dance-rock, Hot Hot Heat! Their fourth major label album, ‘Future Breeds,’ was released on June 8 and was pleasantly compared to their first, ‘Make Up the Breakdown,’ which was released in 2002. Returning to their roots, but still heavily experimenting with sound and instrumentation (prepare yourself for the gnarliest saxophone explosion you have ever heard…), this record has been received well by critics and fans alike. Hot Hot Heat comes to NYC on Tuesday, Sept. 8 to play the Bowery Ballroom with 22-20’s and Hey Rosetta. $15. 18+. Doors at 7 p.m.
