Female-fronted rock/pop band, The Morning Of, has displayed nothing but patience since their first EP in 2007, Welcome Change, Goodbye Gravity. They quintet bided their time, writing, recording and touring, knowing that their vibrant piano-fueled tunes would one day soon launch the group’s career. Their latest release, The Way I Fell In, displays a new-found maturity in lyrics while vocalist Jessica Leplon’s genuine and strong, high-pitched vocals shine. Songs like “What You Can’t Control” feature rock instrumentals that have a certain swagger similar to the Stephen Bryce Avary of the Rocket Summer. Catch The Morning Of, Aug. 14 at the School of Rock with Maryland hardcore/indie rockers The Dangerous Summer. $12.
