There is a reason the UK’s Arctic Monkeys are one of the world’s biggest indie rock bands; they’re damn good. Although they employ a level of Beatles worship similar to that of Oasis, their decidedly more plugged-in approach makes for some harder rocking tunes and a more panoramic sonic environment. Their latest studio album, Humbug, broke the Billboard top 10 in nine different countries including number one in their homeland and 15 in the U.S. following its August release. They will play two sold out dates at NYC’s Terminal 5 Dec. 10 and 11. If you want to try your luck with scalpers, face value of tickets is $39.50 dos. arcticmonkeys.com.
