After 16 years in hiatus New Jersey’s own legendary indie rockers The Feelies have reunited and announced three shows in New York this September. Formed in 1976 in Haledon by Glenn Mercer and Bill Million, The Feelies never sold too many records but their influence can be heard throughout the genre in the music of R.E.M and many more. Sept. 11 in Monticello at the ATP The Feelies will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of their debut, Crazy Rhythms, by playing the album in its entirety. Sept. 12 they will be playing the Bearsville Theatre in Bearsville, NY, and Sept. 13 they will be in Brooklyn at Southpaw. thefeeliesweb.com.
