Bat For Lashes’ Natasha Khan (for all intents and purposes, Bat For Lashes is Natasha Khan) has a knack for maintaining the delicate balance between gothic moodiness and precious pop. The British singer’s masterful songcraft and genre-blending—which finds her combining ‘80s synths, orchestral pop, and whatever other musical ideas suit her at the moment—have won the admiration of everyone from Björk and Scott Walker to Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke. Bat For Lashes will be playing Webster Hall in NYC on Wednesday, Aug. 12. The show is 18-plus and doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 day of show.
